We’re excited to share that two members of the FUTOURWORK consortium, Dr. Stroma Cole and Dr. Fiona Eva Bakas, will be presenting at the upcoming Diversity and Sustainability Opportunities and Threats in Tourism (DSOTT) International Tourism Conference at Coimbra University, Portugal, from 4-6 June 2025.
Their presentation, “Social dialogue to promote tourism worker well-being and equality: A conceptual approach”, will explore how collective bargaining and worker representation can drive positive change in the tourism and hospitality sector. In an industry often marked by insecurity and inequality, social dialogue is a crucial tool for improving conditions, ensuring fair wages, and fostering a more inclusive workforce.
